Summer is a time to enjoy the outdoors, spend time with family and friends, and take advantage of the beautiful coastal communities we call home. It is also an important time to focus on prevention and protecting your health.
Throughout July, RCMS will be recognizing UV Safety Month and Juvenile Arthritis Awareness Month, and Preventative Care highlighting ways individuals and families can stay healthy and informed. UV Safety Month serves as a reminder to protect your skin from harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays through sunscreen, protective clothing, and limiting sun exposure during peak hours. Prevention and early detection are important steps in reducing the risk of skin damage and skin cancer. Juvenile Arthritis Awareness Month shines a light on children and families affected by arthritis. While often associated with older adults, arthritis can impact children and teens, making early diagnosis and ongoing care important for maintaining mobility and quality of life.
