Digital COVID-19 Vaccine Record

6/22/2021

Picture
When the COVID-19 vaccines became available, the state of California adapted the California Immunization Registry (CAIR) to include not just childhood immunizations but COVID-19 immunizations. RCMS has been submitting COVID-19 immunization records in accordance with the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) submission guidelines. Those guidelines did not include a process to enter cell phone and email information. Those two elements are now required. To request a digital COVID-19 vaccine record please visit: https://myvaccinerecord.cdph.ca.gov/. If you requested a digital COVID-19 vaccine record and received a message that the information you provided does not match information in their system please complete this troubleshooting form https://myvaccinerecord.cdph.ca.gov/unmatched and submit to CDPH.

Referrals to Divers Alert Network

6/3/2021

Picture
There have been recent requests of RCMS Providers to provide diving physicals.  RCMS DOES NOT have any physicians trained in dive medicine and all patients will be referred to Divers Alert Network (DAN).

DAN is a group of not-for-profit organizations dedicated to improving diving safety for all divers.  DAN maintains a comprehensive online library of free diver health, medical and safety resources. In addition, your DAN membership provides access to the industry's premier dive accident coverage plans.  If you need a physical before beginning, or returning, to diving, you will need to see a physician experienced and trained in dive medicine to evaluate your symptoms or discuss health issues and diving.

DAN maintains a worldwide network of doctors who serve the diving public. Upon request, DAN will provide you with contact information for physicians trained in dive medicine.  If you are looking for a doctor to conduct a diving physical or would like a consultation with a dive medicine specialist in your area, call DAN at +1 (919) 684-2948 (Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m. ET).

Picture
Redwood Coast Medical Services (RCMS), in collaboration with Coast Life Support District, South Coast Volunteer Fire Department, and many amazing community volunteers, has administered over 6,700 COVID-19 vaccines to our community.

Out next vaccine event will be:
Moderna and Pfizer Second Dose COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic
Saturday, June 5, 2021 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM
South Coast Fire Department building at 39215 Church Street in Gualala
WALK-INS WELCOME AT 10:30 AM - FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED FOR SURPLUS VACCINE

We are aware that there are still many eligible community members who have declined vaccination, or who are still hesitating to get the vaccine. We strongly encourage you to consider vaccination for many reasons, including:
  • To protect yourself, your family and your social contacts from the risk of COVID-19 infection.
  • To help create herd immunity in your community – protecting those who are not eligible for immunization.
  • To increase your ability to return to regular life activities, like travel, attending concerts and sporting events, in-person education, etc.
  •  If you have questions about the vaccine, contact your Medical Provider to discuss your concerns. If you know someone who still needs to get vaccinated, please share this information with them.

++ WE HAVE VACCINES ON HAND AND DO NOT WANT THEM TO BE WASTED ++
