Important Update from RCMS Regarding COVID19 Vaccines and Testing

7/29/2021

Picture
Due to the recent surge of COVID19 in our community, there has been a large increase in patient visits to RCMS, which has unfortunately placed a strain on our Urgent Care services and testing resources. For this reason, RCMS is forced to shift some of its COVID19 services.

COVID19 Vaccines
We are still offering FREE walk in (no appointment needed) COVID19 vaccinations daily to all persons aged 12 and above in our Gualala Clinic, 46900 Ocean Drive. Vaccines are available weekdays 10 AM to 2 PM and weekends noon to 4 PM.

Asymptomatic Testing
If you would like asymptomatic COVID19 testing/screening (i.e., you have no symptoms), we are unable to offer this service at this time. We refer you to the Mendocino Public Health website for free testing options: https://www.mendocinocounty.org/community/novel-coronavirus/covid-19-testing.

Are You Having COVID19 Symptoms?
If you are having COVID19 symptoms, we will have you speak to a triage nurse/provider, who will make a plan for your care. Please call us at 707-884-4005.

How You Can Help
What you can do to help with this surge:
  • Get completely COVID19 vaccinated. It is not too late to get your second dose of vaccine, even if your first dose was months ago. Encourage your family and friends to be vaccinated – to help keep them safe.
  • Wear your mask in indoor public spaces, and when in crowds outside.
  • Manage any chronic health conditions which can help you be safer if you are infected with COVID19. Please contact RCMS to see your primary care provider if you need help.

We appreciate your understanding as we navigate this latest surge. RCMS will continue to review our capabilities and services related to vaccinations and testing in light of our case load.
