The RCMS Support Groups are made possible through the tireless dedication of trained, caring volunteers. Thank you to volunteers that make this possible, and to the community for your support in creating and sustaining these programs.

Caregiver Support Group
If you are a caregiver, caring for a family member, partner or close friend with a debilitating or terminal illness, you may be interested in our Caregiver Support Group. The Group meets regularly from 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM on the third Friday of every month at the Bill Platt Training Center at the Coast Life Support District, 38901 Ocean Drive in Gualala. Participants work together toward mutual problem-solving and coping with the stress of caregiving. For more information, please call Tara or Ralph Navarro, 408-691-8218. There is no charge to participate.

Grief Support Group
Because talking to others can sometimes help ease the pain of loss, RCMS volunteers facilitate a Grief Support Group that meets Fridays from 11 am to 12:30 pm at the Bill Platt Training Center at the Coast Life Support District, 38901 Ocean Drive in Gualala. For more information about this group, please call Ralph Navarro at 408-691-8218. There is no charge to participate.
Grief support is also available to anyone grieving the loss of a loved one. Both one-to-one counseling and group support are available to those who have suffered a recent loss, as well as to people who have experienced unresolved loss in the past. Trained caring volunteers offer support to the individual or family. |
