Afsoon Foorohar, DO
Dr. Foorohar joined RCMS in January 2019. She attended Western University of Health Sciences and completed her residency at the Sutter Santa Rosa Family Medicine Residency program. Dr. Foorohar enjoys building relationships with patients and their families over the course of a lifetime. When asked why this community she responded "a small rural town is really best suited for this. The smaller a community, the closer the human interactions, and the relationships are more like those that occur with friends and family. You get to know your local grocer, baker, neighbor... your community. As a family medicine doctor, I am naturally drawn to a treating patients, their families, and their community."
In her own words "the most enriching and humbling part about patient care is developing lasting relationships. The joy comes when we get to bear witness to the impact we can have on a patient’s life. As a family medicine doctor, we get to develop that connection with each individual within a family, which can deepen our perspective of their lives, and in turn, our own." |
