Shaye Larie, Doctor of Nursing (DNP), Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
Shaye graduated summa cum laude with a doctorate in nursing practice from the University of Arizona. She completed her residency training in Idaho and began practicing there as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Prior to her doctorate studies, Shaye earned a Master’s in Clinical Systems Leadership from the University of Arizona and a Bachelor’s from Boise State University as a Registered Nurse. Shaye brings a wealth of healthcare experiences she gained through a variety of roles including intensive care unit case manager, orthopedic RN, oncologic RN, and home-health/hospice RN.
Shaye is passionate about treating patients as a whole person with a focus on quality of life and education on wellness and preventative health. She enjoys spending time with patients discussing realistic ways to incorporate nutrition and exercise into a busy lifestyle to prevent chronic illness and improve health outcomes. Shaye is an active member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and enjoys staying up to date on current research.
Shaye is an Idaho native and grew up loving the forests and rivers of the Pacific Northwest. She lives in Gualala with her partner Joel Freston and their beautiful Alaskan Malamute mix, Mika. Shaye enjoys exploring rivers and trails, her professional photography ventures, and volunteering for pet therapy with Mika. Shaye has a minor in music and plays and teaches piano when she can find the time!
