May is a time to focus on prevention, awareness, and caring for our community. At Redwood Coast Medical Services (RCMS), we are proud to serve the coastal communities from Elk to Timber Cove—providing access to care when it matters most.
This month, we are highlighting several important health observances, including Stroke Awareness, Arthritis Awareness, High Blood Pressure Awareness, and Skin Cancer Awareness. Each of these plays an important role in helping individuals stay informed, recognize early warning signs, and take simple steps toward better health. We also take time to recognize the people who make care possible. During National Nurses Week (May 6–12), we celebrate the dedication and compassion of our nursing team. And during Women’s Health Week (May 10–16), we encourage women of all ages to prioritize their health and well-being. In rural communities like ours—where hospitals are miles away—access to timely care is essential. RCMS is here for you with Primary Care, Dental, and a 7-day-a-week Urgent Care, helping ensure that you and your family have support close to home. Follow along with us throughout the month as we share helpful tips, resources, and ways to stay healthy. Memorial Day Notice: RCMS Primary Care and Dental clinics will be closed on Monday, May 25 in observance of Memorial Day. Urgent Care will remain available on-call.
