In September, Kalev Golubjatnikov, Family Nurse Practitioner, celebrated his two-year anniversary at RCMS. Regarding his education, Kalev says he “just could not leave well enough alone.” He holds Master's degrees in Medical Informatics, Public Health, Business Administration, Clinical Laboratory Science, and Nursing. Kalev comes to RCMS after 30 years at Kaiser Permanente Northern California, where he served as a Quality Director, Risk Management and Patient Safety Director, and Associate Medical Group Administrator. He happily brings this wealth of expertise to RCMS. Currently, Kalev is focusing his Kaiser practice on patients with life-limiting serious illnesses. At RCMS, he works on Thursdays and Fridays, concentrating on patients with chronic conditions. Kalev was born and raised in Syracuse, New York. His parents, born in Estonia, came to the United States as displaced persons at the end of World War II. He is proud to be a first-generation American. Kalev’s two children are both in the medical field: his son, Matthew, is an Emergency Room physician in Santa Clara, and his daughter, Aili, is an Emergency Room nurse in Ventura. Kalev’s former wife, Ann—the mother of their children—also enjoyed a long career as a Nurse Practitioner. It seems to run in the family. Kalev and his partner, David, have come to love life on the coast. When they aren’t working, they enjoy swimming, hiking, caring for their home in Sea Ranch, and being grandpas to their two young granddaughters. Kalev and David moved to Gualala/Sea Ranch before Kalev joined RCMS, and he is extremely happy to have found a new home for both his life and his profession. We are certainly glad he made the journey west to San Francisco and then up north to join us. Comments are closed.
