During National Volunteer Week, RCMS proudly recognizes and celebrates the individuals who give their time, energy, and compassion to support the health and well-being of our community. First established in 1974, this national observance is a time to honor volunteers across the country—and here on the coast, their impact is deeply felt.
Volunteers play a vital role in healthcare and beyond. They support patient care, assist with hospice services, help reduce barriers through transportation and food programs, and contribute to community health efforts like flu clinics. Their presence strengthens not only our services, but the sense of connection that defines our coastal communities. Here on the Mendocino–Sonoma Coast, volunteerism extends far beyond the clinic walls. Volunteers help bring our community to life—supporting organizations like the Gualala Arts Center, organizing Pay ’n’ Take sales, and contributing in countless ways that often go unseen but are always appreciated. At RCMS, we are deeply grateful for the dedication and generosity of our volunteers. Their willingness to show up, lend a hand, and care for others makes a lasting difference in the lives of our patients, staff, and neighbors. This week, we invite our community to join us in celebrating and thanking the volunteers who help make our work—and our community—stronger every day. Comments are closed.
