Starting this year in 2017 RCMS has declared May as Shamli Hospice Month. All fundraising efforts throughout the month will go to our hospice program. Shamli Hospice is too small to qualify as a typical MediCare hospice so it is primarily funded through private donations, memorial gifts and community support. Thanks to the generosity of so many in our community all of the nursing and volunteer services are offered through the Shamli Hospice program are completely free of charge.
In order to maintain this vital community service we hope you will consider showing your supporrt by participating in our live online auction this month. We also welcome donations any time. To learn more about donating to RCMS please visiting the donation page here.
Every spring RCMS hosts an annual fundraising event at St. Orres Restaurant in support of the Shamli Hospice Program. A Spring Evening at St. Orres features many of the signature dishes found on the St. Orres menu such as spring lamb chops, rabbit tacos, and oysters on the half shell. These delicacies, along with an array of desserts, are brought to you by a dedicated group of volunteers that make the event a success every year. Wine, beer, champagne, and sodas are also part of your ticket purchase.
Rosemary Campiformio, Executive Chef at St. Orres, generously donates all the food for the event and is assisted by a team of community volunteers who help with food preparation and service. This means that 100% of the proceeds go to supporting our Hospice program. A special thanks to Rosemary, Erick Black, and everyone at St. Orres for their generosity and support of RCMS through the years.
